GT24-2 to go to Dallas shortly…

Our next Tyan GT24 server, gt24-2, is undergoing final buildout and will be sent to Virtbiz in Dallas shortly.

The new server features:

  • Dual AMD Opteron 2344  Quad Core Processors
  • 32GB of Registered ECC PC2-5300 Memory
  • 4 Western Digital RE2 “RAID Edition” drives in RAID10
  • LSI MegaRAID 300-8x hardware RAID controller

 

Once this server is completed it will be sent to Dallas, where it will become a XEN VPS node.  Expected delivery to Virtbiz is Mid-May, with the server being available apx. 1 week later.

Robert holds multiple certifications incluging Oracle Certified Professional-Java 6 SE (OCP-J6), MCSE, A+, Net+, Project+, Security+, and multiple CIW certifications. He has been in the hosting industry for more than a decade and is founded Lagniappe Internet L.L.C. as a privately owned, completely debt free, hosting company based out of New Orleans. Robert's background includes 25+ years in programming, databases, networking and systems administration.
