Starting at 10:41am, sites are intermittently unavailable – this affects all Dallas based servers.

Update – Virtbiz is working on the problem. The preliminary report is that it appears to be a DOS attack from somewhere in the Czech Republic.

Update 2 -  As of 11:11am things seems to have calmed down and the sites are all online. None of our servers themselves were affected however the connectivity to them was. I will post an update with the news from Virtbiz when I have one.

5:46pm –  All Dallas servers are currently unreachable. It is being looked in to, and I will post an update here as soon as possible.

Update:  5:58pm – All Dallas servers are back online. Appears to have been a datacenter issue. I’m expecting to hear shortly and will update this post then.

Lagniappe Internet believes in an open and honest dialog with our customers. To that end, we are very open about an incidents that occur and believe they should be documented. This comes from personal experience that I would have felt better if I would have known what had occured when I was hosting my own sites with other companies… Some seem to believe they should try to “protect” their reputation at almost any cost. Lagniappe Internet believe that that “protectionist” thinking does more to damage the reputation and open honest dialog with its customers does more to enhance reputation than any “spin” can.
